Privacy Policy
How we handle personal data when you use this website, send us an enquiry, engage us for drone survey work or use our software platforms.
Last updated: 31 October 2026
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Atrobot Drones Private Limited ("Atrobot", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal data. It applies to this website (atrobot.in), the enquiry forms on it, our drone survey, mapping and geospatial analytics services, and our software platforms for geospatial visualisation and analytics, big data management, and surveillance and monitoring.
We publish this policy in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 ("SPDI Rules") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), together with any rules made under them, to the extent each applies. It is an electronic record and does not need a physical or digital signature.
Our services are offered to businesses, government bodies and other organisations. Where we process personal data only on a client's instructions as part of a project, the client decides why and how that data is processed, and the client's own privacy notice also applies.
2. Personal data we collect
Enquiries. When you use the survey or demo forms we collect, depending on the form, your name, work email, phone number, company or organisation, industry, the service or platform you are interested in, project location, approximate area, required deliverables, expected timeline, preferred demo mode and date, use case, your message, and your consent to be contacted.
Business communications. If you email, call or message us (including through WhatsApp, if you choose to use it), we receive your contact details and whatever you send us.
Client and project information. To deliver an engagement we may receive the names, roles and contact details of client personnel, site contacts, and the details needed for permissions, invoicing and payment.
Platform accounts. If you are given access to one of our software platforms, we process account details such as your name, work email, organisation and role, together with sign-in, access and activity records needed to run and secure the account.
Technical data. When you visit the website, our hosting and security provider and the services that load page resources (described below) receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device details and the pages requested.
We do not ask for sensitive personal data such as passwords to other services, financial account details, health information or biometric information through this website. Please do not send such information through the enquiry forms.
3. Aerial imagery and data captured at client sites
Our drone work produces aerial photographs, video, LiDAR point clouds, orthomosaics, elevation models and related survey data of the sites our clients ask us to capture. This data is about land, assets and infrastructure; we do not set out to identify individuals.
Aerial capture can still incidentally record people, vehicles, number plates or neighbouring property. We plan flights to the agreed project area, process the data only for the project, and handle it as client project data under the applicable agreement. Where appropriate we can blur or remove incidental personal details from deliverables on request.
Clients are responsible for informing their own staff, contractors and visitors at the site about planned drone operations where required, and for having any authority they need to commission capture of the site.
4. Why we use personal data
We use personal data only for clear, lawful purposes connected with our business, namely to:
- respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation or arrange a demo, and follow up on that enquiry;
- plan, obtain permissions for, carry out and deliver survey and analytics projects;
- provide, secure, support and improve our software platforms;
- manage contracts, invoicing, payments, taxes and record-keeping;
- keep our website, systems and operations safe and prevent misuse; and
- comply with law, regulatory requirements and lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing. If we would like to send you updates beyond your enquiry, we will ask first and you can opt out at any time.
5. Notice and consent
When you submit a form you are given this notice and asked to confirm that we may contact you about your enquiry. That consent is the basis on which we process enquiry details. For client projects and platform accounts we also rely on the contract with your organisation and, where the DPDP Act allows, on legitimate uses such as information you voluntarily provide for a specific purpose and compliance with law.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to business@atrobot.in. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out, and we may not be able to continue a conversation or service that depends on the data.
6. How enquiry forms are processed
When you press send, your browser submits the form directly to a Google Apps Script web app operated by Atrobot. The script records the enquiry in a Google Sheet managed by Atrobot in its Google Workspace account. Access to that sheet is limited to Atrobot personnel who need it to handle enquiries.
7. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run our website and business. They process personal data on our behalf, under their own security and data protection terms, only to provide their service:
- Google Workspace (Google Apps Script and Google Sheets) to receive and store enquiries and for business documents;
- Cloudflare to host this website, deliver it and protect it from attacks;
- Microsoft 365 for business email and related communication;
- Google Fonts and Google Maps, which load fonts and the office map shown on our pages; and
- cloud infrastructure and software providers used to run our platforms and process project data.
We may also share information with professional advisers, auditors, and authorities such as the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) or local administration where flight permissions require it, and otherwise only where the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, as part of a merger, acquisition or restructuring (with the recipient bound to protect it), or with your consent.
9. Cross-border transfers
Some of our service providers store or process data on servers outside India. Where personal data is transferred outside India we rely on providers with appropriate safeguards and comply with any restrictions notified by the Government of India under the DPDP Act.
10. Security
We follow reasonable security practices and procedures appropriate to the nature of the data, as contemplated by the SPDI Rules, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for this website, access controls on the accounts that hold enquiry and project data, role-based access on our platforms, and limiting access to people who need it.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will act promptly to contain it and will notify affected people and the authorities as required by law.
11. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to and following up on an enquiry, performing a contract, resolving disputes and meeting legal, tax or regulatory record-keeping obligations. Project data is retained as set out in the applicable agreement. When data is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it.
12. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and the identities of those we have shared it with;
- ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase data that is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law;
- withdraw consent you have given;
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity; and
- raise a grievance with us about how your data has been handled.
To exercise any of these rights, email business@atrobot.in from the address you used with us, or tell us how we can verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable time and within any period required by law. If your data was provided to us by a client organisation as part of a project, we may refer your request to that organisation.
13. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
14. Grievance Officer
Questions, complaints and requests about personal data can be sent to our Grievance Officer at business@atrobot.in, or by post to: Grievance Officer, Atrobot Drones Private Limited, 5th Floor, C-41, C Block, Procapitus Business Park Phase 2, Industrial Area, Sector 62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201309, India. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is available to you under the DPDP Act.
