Inputs
- DGPS surveys
- Drone imagery from aerial mapping
- Cadastral records placed on that imagery for a land-parcel map
Topographic & terrain survey
DGPS surveys and drone-based aerial mapping, with orthomosaic and 3D map generation, orthophoto maps, and DSM and DTM contours. The same survey can carry digitized land records and planning layers, and mine measurements for volume, slope, area, bench height and the haul road.
Repeat coverage of the same ground supports change detection between surveys. An illustration on this site is not a measured client result.
What it helps you understand
The map products are an orthophoto, an orthomosaic, a 3D map, and DSM and DTM contours. For a land parcel, the same surveying supports digitized land records and planning layers. For a mine, the measurements are volume, slope, area, bench height, cross-sections and the haul road.
Workflow
The outcome is the terrain record: orthophoto maps, planning layers and, where the task is land, digitized records on the imagery.
DGPS surveys and drone-based aerial mapping, including flight planning as part of data collection. Drone capture is one survey method.
Orthomosaic and 3D map generation, and DSM and DTM contour mapping. For land parcels, cadastral records are placed on the drone imagery.
Image quality verification during collection. The visualisation software includes data-validation workflows.
Orthophoto maps, digitized land records and planning layers, report generation and cloud storage.
Mining
Mining measurements for this terrain work.
DGPS and drone aerial mapping, orthophoto maps, digitized land records and planning layers.
Volume, slope and area calculation, bench-height measurement, cross-section profiles and measurements along haul roads.
Software
Cloud software that turns LiDAR, GIS and drone datasets into interactive dashboards, with 2D and 3D viewing in the browser.
A cloud system for operational, GIS and infrastructure data, including data collected by drone survey.
